President's Corner (1/1/2011)

Happy New Year to all the members of the Saint Peters Table Tennis Club (SPTTC).

My wife, Kelly, and I hope that your holidays were relaxing and enjoyable with your family members.  Assuming that you were "good", I would hope to think that your Christmas presents might have included some new sheets of rubber, perhaps a gift certificate to an on-line table tennis company website, or even a promise to renew your SPTTC annual membership.  To make things simple for renewing your SPTTC membership, just click here, print the membership form, fill it out, and send it in the mail to the address at the bottom of the membership form.

We wish to personally thank the Francis Howell School District (FHSD) for partnering with us by giving us a place to store our equipment and allowing us to practice in the evening in exchange for allowing the high school students an opportunity to start after-school table tennis clubs with our equipment.

Congratulations to all the winners of the 2011 Saint Peters April Open.  You can review all the scores by clicking HERE.

The Saint Peters Table Tennis Club (SPTTC) wishes to thank the Francis Howell School District for their wonderful facilities at Francis Howell Central High School.  This was the 5th year in a row that we have partnered with them to put on a great tournament.  This particular tournament had 96 players representing 8 different states.  The ages of our competitors ranged from 8-83.

Did you read that last sentence carefully?  That's no typo!  We had an eight-year old boy that went 4-4 and boasts a USATT rating of 1045.  We also had a young lady of 83 years that went 1-5 and has a 939 rating.  Now you know why they call this a sport for a lifetime.

Please keep visiting this website for additional information about future tournaments.
